Position: Transformation Manager/Change Manager – Print Management/BPO/Public SectorLocation: Based in Manchester with travel to London and other UK sites when requiredSalary: £44k – £52.5k + pensionThe Company:Working for the Public Sector in a Central Government Agency this is a high profile, commercially driven environment. The Government has placed a high priority in delivering significant savings across a wide range of business processes, with print being a very significant area.Requirements:• A credible print professional with gravitas and the proven ability to drive change in a Public Sector environment.• Experience of leading and delivering print efficiency projects and established skills in working to savings targets• Experience of direct print buying activity to reduce costs• Rationalisation/standardisation/automation know-how • Effective communicator and negotiator• Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to build relationships with external suppliers and internal key stakeholders• Suppliers - Collaboration with external suppliers and partners to implement cost effective alternative working/production methods• Key stakeholders - Review print requirements, supply technical input at concept stage, improve processes, achieve cost savings, share knowledge and best practise• Experience in leadership roles• Current and extensive proven experience of print industry and paper trade including an understanding of print specifications, mailing markets, manufacturing print processes.• Knowledge of best practice in print/mailing/paper production and procurement markets, with the ability to demonstrate understanding of print job costings and estimating• Technical print/production experience - understanding of print production capabilities and the ability to recommend efficiencies associated with alternative production methods• Understanding of Production Planning concepts• Technical design/specification knowledge – capable of making technical recommendations around design and over engineered products• Estimating/job costing experience – able to review current costing models and pricing methodology and recommend changes where efficiencies can be achievedThe Role:• Transformation and change management within a large Central Government Agency• Strategy development• Supplier management • Stakeholder management• Procurement & contract management• Contribute to the delivery of procurement benefits of £90 million• Implement standards and working practices to achieve best value• Development of the print and mailing commodity teams to exemplify best practice• Create and operate a value-adding stakeholder engagement plan• Successfully direct appropriate print contract negotiations and procurement events• Successfully develop a print/mailing production plan
