Purpose: The main purpose of the role is to assist in servicing the existing clients business, to provide leadership for a large group of on-site / off-site staff in ensuring the achievement of a successful relationship with the customer.
Key responsibilities: The Account Director will ensure that the clients are dealt with in a proactive, professional manner, and that their expectations are met and exceeded. Have an excellent understanding of the client business and industry sector, (Investment Banks / Financial Services realm). However other Commercial / Corporate Print / Print Management knowledge will be considered, if candidates meet the other criteria need to fulfil the role. You will be responsible for the resolution of significant complaints/issues raised by the client. Continually adding focus and value to existing services offered, whilst being involved in strategic decisions within the business. Effective team management is also paramount to this role, as you will be managing a team that consists of approximately 60+ staff, reporting directly & in-directly to you. You will have the ability to attract, retain and develop direct reports and manage the overall effectiveness of the teams' performance, ensuring all including self, maximize their full potential. These teams are spread throughout the UK and Europe, and offshore exposure is paramount for this opportunity. Quality and operational excellence are key competencies required for this senior role, with strong communication and negotiation skills in order to create an environment of innovation and continuous improvement with the ability to lead from the front.
Candidate background: Previous Print / Print Management experience is desirable. However a solid understanding and background from within a corporate environment is paramount, where Investment Bank / Financial Services sector exposure would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have a dynamic outlook, strong commercial awareness, be self motivated, capable of developing and implementing plans whilst managing, motivating and developing a diverse team. He/she will be familiar with managing large numbers of direct / indirect reports, (Approximately 60+ staff) and ideally have strong awareness of onsite account management. You will need to be a corporate polished professional, who is familiar with the nature of demanding corporate city centre clients. Offshore experience, and dealing with European based clients / accounts teams will be a distinct advantage.
