Position: iGen SpecialistLocation: Wakefield, YorkshireSalary: dep on experienceThe Company:Our client is the global leader in document management, offering an innovative array or products and services for their customers. At present they require an iGen Specialist to assist in providing a wide range of services to the contract customer specification.The Role:• Operate and maintain a range of Digital Printers • Operate Cheque Printers • Support & Operate Mail Enclosing equipment (Pitney Bowes) and perform tasks that support the achievement of departmental objectives • Support & Operate Print Finishing equipment • Replenish consumables and perform key operator maintenance of equipment. • Act as an expert when advising customers on complex/technical jobs and discussing their production requirements/turnaround times etc. • Undertake support tasks as seen appropriate by the Manager • Participate in revenue generating/marketing initiatives• Participate in team meetings/projects/sharing or best practicesRequirements:• A proven track record gained within a reprographics/service environment. • Previous experience of working in a customer facing environment. • Experience of operating high volume laser equipment. • Experience with more than one Network Colour Printer and/or RIP • Understanding or experience of Colour Production workflows with an emphasis on Digital workflow • Knowledge of and/or skills with advance principals of colour theory / calibration processes and instruments, colour management, colour spaces and ICC colour • Basic knowledge of substrates and their limitations/characteristics • Good problem solving and critical thinking skills • Good organisational, time management skills • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Experience with multiple operating systems (i.e. Mac, PC etc) • Basic mechanical abilities and motor skills • Knowledge of various types of printing systems • Experience in operating high volume networked systems • Application and RIP colour correction experience • Knowledge of or experience with image editing applications supported at their site • Knowledge of Post Press finishing operations and systems
