Job Description:
1. To develop quality & functional packaging which satisfy the requirements of specific and speculative customer briefs.2. Provide technical support to all related departments within the company onall packaging development issues.3. To originate, issue, control and maintain Packaging Component Specifications. Maintain PIF files.4. Attend and advise NPD meetings, re packaging component development details.5. Identify, brief, control, carry out and conclude to agreed deadlines required compatibility testing of all packaging components within all NPD & PCP activity6. Identify, evaluate and bring to the company new packaging concepts and technologies to deliver innovative leading edge and/or improved efficiencies/cost savings.7. Undertake external audits of supplier’s and third party contractors and participate in vendor appraisal/evaluation.8. Project management of packaging developments internally & externally for NPD & PCP against agreed timeplans and within company procedures.9. Co-ordination of production line trials as part of the companies NPD and PCP programs and update production on an ongoing basis.10. Approving artwork ensuring it is technically correct and uses suitable print methods11. Liaison with Customers and Design Houses 12. Attend Print approvals and Colour Matching as required13.
