Job Specification for Print Sales Representative/Manager

for Ferring Printing Company Limited.

Ferring Printing is a well-established printing company formed in 1963. It prides itself in delivering high quality, bespoke design and print material and current equipment consists of a 5-colour b2 Heidelberg Speedmaster and a single colour GTO 45. A small finishing department with the appropriate resource compliments our print offering. The company has expanded its offering due to demand from existing clients and industry trends and has recently installed a Xerox DC5000 digital printer along with a Duplo System 5000 Dual Line Collator, Booklet Maker and Trimmer and DC-445 DuCreaser.

The company is seeking a candidate who can assist in the development of the organisation by introducing new business opportunities. You must be conversant with traditional lithographic printing processes and have at least 3 years’ experience in a sales role, preferably in the A2/B2 marketplace.
You should also have and be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of digital printing techniques with an understanding of variable data printing in order to secure sales and develop new customers within this exciting and growing marketplace.

Ferring are looking for the right candidate to bring business with them and to seek new opportunities for development. The candidate will be expected to bring in new business from the outset and is not expected to work on existing accounts. A full, clean British driving licence is also required.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Managing Director
Working alongside MD in creating and delivering a New Business Plan
Working with Production departments to ensure efficiencies
Bringing in New Business opportunities and developing these
Performing Credentials Presentations
Pitchwork/Tenders
Day to day running of newly acquired customers
Servicing new accounts
Increasing company turnover in line with agreed performance-related targets
Representing Ferring in a positive and professional manner

Remuneration will be based upon an annual salary of £30k - £35k, depending on relevant experience, plus commission on gross profit made on all new business brought into the company by the candidate – full details of which will be discussed upon successful application. Additional benefits may be considered.
